Video: Dean Nelson, VP eBay on Project Mercury's Strategy: Alignment, TCO, PUE, DCMM

Dean Nelson, eBay’s Vice President of Global Foundation Services, keynoted this year's May 2012 Uptime Institute Symposium and discussed how eBay built one of the world’s most efficient data centers in one of the harshest climates in the U.S.: Phoenix Arizona, and saw an average PUE of 1.35 during a one-week period in January.

For history, Dean actually worked on the Sun Microsystems Black Box while I was at Sun, and many people know the Black Box as being a cutting-edge Modular Data Center concept.
